![]() White Button Down – Similar to a white blouse, it also matches with so many items you probably already own. My fav way to wear it is with white skinny jeans or tucking it into a skirt. Stripes are perfect for a casual weekend outfit. Striped Long Sleeve Top – Just like I wear a striped tank in the summer, I could never go without a striped long sleeve top. It would look especially cute with a denim skirt! A white top is so easy because it literally looks amazing styled with any bottom. ![]() This is a great piece to add to your wardrobe, especially if you work in an office. White Blouse (comes in 3 colors!) – Not even joking, I wear my white blouse year round. Lightweight Sweater (comes in 8 colors!) – a colorful lightweight sweater is a must! You can pair this with jeans, skirts, overalls and layer over dresses! Plus, even if it’s not super cold out yet, you can usually get away with wearing a lightweight sweater and be a-ok! Just the thought of wearing only 30 pieces for an entire season feels suffocating – I need freedom! I want fashion to be fun so this is a classics girl’s version of a capsule wardrobe. Except, I personally find capsule wardrobes way to restricting. That word is so popular and all over the Pinterest world. I’d almost consider this similar to a capsule wardrobe. I never feel bad if I buy an item that is seasonal because I can always rely on my trusty classic wardrobe essentials to never go out of style. That way you can buy really colorful shoes, tops, sweaters or coats, knowing you always have your essentials to style with. I’d totally recommend everyone to find a pair of great skinnies. Then I buy fun or more trendy pieces that I can wear with my classic essentials! I usually build my wardrobe off all of these pieces each season. I actually have almost all these pieces in my closet at the moment (working on finding cute mom jeans – if you watch my Insta stories, I did a try on at American Eagle with them!). This post is all about my fav classic fall wardrobe essentials.įor me, classics are pieces that match with just about anything and can easily move from season to season. They are usually timeless, simple and high quality. Classic pieces for me are ones I find myself reaching for over and over each season, year after year. ![]() The pieces that I wear to death are striped tops, white skinny jeans, and loafers to name a few. Every fall season when the air does finally cool down, I have go-to classic essentials that I wear over and over again. With sportswear innovations continuing to crop up as technology advances, we’re likely to see new fashion trends inspired by sports continue to grow.Fall is officially here!! Well, technically it’s fall but it sure doesn’t feel like it yet. It’s now commonplace to see athleisure worn by both celebrities and the public alike to perform their daily tasks and routines, even if they don’t involve working up a sweat. ![]() Perhaps the greatest contributor to athleisure’s path into mainstream fashion was Bruce Lee, who utilised the classic stretchy tracksuit in a series of popular kung-fu movies that inspired a number of fans. In the years that followed, athleisure has taken centre stage in a variety of sports, as well as high fashion.īy the 1960s, manufacturers started using colour-coordinated cotton and nylon jersey tracksuits that would provide stretch and comfort to aid wearers in a number of activities. Sportswear has had an interesting relationship with fashion, and in the 1920s the term actually referred to the comfortable and casual clothes women wore to view spectator sports. Nike’s sunglasses range, designed for runners, and sports goggles for basketball and football players has also struck a chord with the fashion world. Oakley isn’t the only brand to excel in creating sports eyewear that became synonymous with fashion. The style quickly became popular in the world of fashion, with sporty designs becoming commonplace when out and about in social settings. Oakley, for instance, rose to prominence in creating polarised sunglasses to help protect wearers from UV rays and debris in sports like mountain biking, skiing and golf.īecause these outdoor sports require wearers to stay protected against the sun, different coloured tints were introduced in a move that kept wearers looking good and safe from damaging their sight. Many designs have been adopted by some of the world’s biggest stars, and different sports have generated different stars in eyewear fashion. The necessity of aerodynamic, protective and functional eyewear across different sports has contributed to the creation of some iconic frames, lenses and styles over the years. Some of the most fashionable sunglasses in the world come directly from sporting backgrounds. ![]()
